South Coast Stories Episode 7 – Community
This week we chat about Community with Josephine Lebbing
Community building is Josephine’s passion, hobby and source of healing. She gets a buzz from conversations with her fellow community members, is inspired by their stories and what ‘lights their spark’. For years through watching, listening and learning she has been dreaming up a network of interwoven projects which build upon what already exists.
“It is not about just doing things for others, but linking and practicing working/playing together. Tapping into our strengths and supporting the growth of community based ideas together.”
Dawn Barrington is an inspirational singer/songwriter living in Denmark, Western Australia. She is a traditional storyteller at heart and her catchy choruses and rich lyrical content make for an engaging performance. The spirit in which she sings her songs has likened her to artists such as Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and more contemporary artists such Suzanne Vega. Her sound is authentic with her most recent release “When did it Change?” being reviewed as a ‘modern interpretation of a bygone era’.
Dawn’s track, ‘Cross to Bear’ is from her album “When did it change?’
